Two people discussing some random stuff and landed up here..

Sri: i just dunt wanna work dude..

Yogesh: Inka enti

Sri: just want to chill..

enuf of all this crap throghout my life.

Yogesh: Go on a holiday

Sri: i seriously dunno why i studied like i did in tenth..

and it continued..

Yogesh: You know…what

Sri: wat ?

Yogesh: May be you can try attaining Nirvana?

Sri: lol.. wats this now ?

Yogesh: Attaining self-enlightenment

Its in Buddhism.

Sri: ok so.. what sthis self enlightment about

Yogesh: Well….

Sri: attending iskcon classes lately ?

Yogesh: Its more important then your life…as people put it

Sri: hmm

yeah ..

i recently met an iskcon guy here in austin !!

and it was all accidental..

and he gave me this book.. the theories in which were amazing..

and if u have time.. i can copy paste the summary of it ?

Yogesh: Cool…

Yogesh: You know… sometimes…you think about the very fact of who you are as a person.

Sri:

Yogesh: Thats kinda has a different message in it

Sri: i’ll tell u the theory they put forward

and then my xperiences..

and what my conclusion is in that order

Yogesh: cool , I am all ears

Sri: ok here it goes..
so basically.. who are u..
you are not the body.. not the brain
not ur thinking..
its ur soul
soul drives your body..

this is the theory i read

just like hands, legs etc are a part of ur body..
and they help you in what you want to do..
all the living beings are a part of the universal soul called brahman.
people have a purpose to serve in life.. to serve the soul !!
Now, why are humans having a luxurious life than animals ?
because humans have a greater responsibility to serving that universal soul..
animals are too busy to feed thier stomachs..
humans are destined for much more !!!

hmm… n why are some people rich n some people poor
coz in each birth, people try to realize their spiritual existence..
some people do it well.. some people dunt care..
the more you know ur existence and realise ur connection with god.. the better place u wud be placed in your next birth,
better place implies a good family with oppurtunity to think rather than fill your stomach.

and in the final phase u are supposed to merge with god
this is called salvation..
so how is the god’s world.. ?
what are all these planets and all..
god’s world is illuminated by the spiritual light and doesn’t need any sun/ moon for that..
every one has a spiritual illumination on thier own..
and its the spiritual light which lights up the universe..
so there is a material world with miseries of life, death, sickness etc..

and the spiritual world of knowledge, bliss, eternity…
our soul tries to reach god and god tries to give hints..
its up to us to follow them and have a purposeful life..
otherwise.. its just a suicide..

one thing i liked is.. people are never satisfied when they go after material comforts..
but when they realize this and that they can do anything, and that serving god/people (parts of god) is most important they get the pleasure
its like.. u need to pour water to the roots of the tree rather than leaves !!
and hence serving ur material body, ur family or anything like that doesn’t serve ur purpose and u are not satisfied..
that is ur soul is not satisfied unless it is served..

Sri: and by constantly praying to lord, ur soul is purified, fed and satisfied

Sri: so .. its like a person going in a car

from outside.. u just see the car and its motions

but it is the person whos driving it..

so just by feeding the car with gas will not suffice..

u need to feed the person too

in the same way.. a soul is like a person in the body like car

Yogesh: Man…this is great stuff

Sri: the food for soul is its connection with god..

and to serve the purpose of its life.. which is self awareness

this is actually what i liked in thier thoery and in my own words..

well.. i dunt completely agree with them..

Sri: this is fascinating but somehow the proof is lacking

Yogesh: Do you agree that our dreams are unlimited?

Sri: universe by definition means everything

It has its limit

Or…if i were to ask you what was before the Big Bang..

Sri: hmm…

before th big bang there is this infinite contraction of mass ?

Yogesh: BS again.

What was before the big bang

Sri: hehe no one can say that

there isnt enough knowledge available rite

Yogesh: How was matter even formed

Sri: it existed !!

why should it form..

it just transforms

Yogesh: but it had a point of origin kadhaa??

What was there before that

Sri: y do u think there is a point of origin

there is mass from time immemorial

it just contracted, expanded and lots of changes took place due to various forcesof nature

Yogesh: Ok…where did this Mass come from???

Sri: and it is what it is now due to this

should it come from something ?

i have no clue if it should

Whats the point of creation?

Sri: well i think we cannot answer those questions without any evidence

we try to speculate things by our observations

and speculations can be rite only so far

Yogesh: Certain things to me , will never be answered i guess.

As coming to my question..

Yogesh: they are certain things are mind cannot think beyond

meditation…

Sri: so 1) when i was in ncc camp

i was an athiest back then

everyone used to believe in him..

so i told him that..

“if u really existed.. make it rain in 10 minutes”

otherwise u dunt xist

and then.. as its said..

miracles do happen and it rained after like 5 mins

!!!!

now i was afraid that god will punish me

but was confused

2) in recent times i have been praying the god a lot..

RA ship when i was almost bankrupt..

in first semester

the company approached my prof, and i appoached prof and he hooked us up!!

it might be a coincidence

then my intern..

Yogesh: ok…

Sri: no one xpected a small start up company to give 7k$ per month !!

Yogesh: yeah

Sri: and that too with me having an advantage over the others..

one semester work.. and an ACM publication !!

everything gottobe right for things like that to be possible..

so there is an xternal force !!

a mysterious force..

which gives u hints, guides u through

and its up to you to follow it or not

same thing is conveyed in the Alchemist book

and i have been feeling it

i mean many things just happen by coincidence..

its too bizzare to believe its just coincidence

so i believe in scientific theories coz they have a solid proof

but !! there must be a unified thoery holding these two together

which is what i am perplexed about

i have no clue what it is, and even if i or anyone can do a convincing job of it

*can ever do

so thats the conclusion

and am stuck

iskcon says everything is created by god..

and there is a different world

and god controls everything..

but its just not conforming with scientific facts

so they must coexist

one way of unifying them is..

god is this energy..

energy transforms into mass..

channeled energy is life..

Yogesh: Ok…what about life after death

Sri: iskcon people say, soul exists even after death

soul exists since time immemorial

this material world is a small part of the entire world

material world is actually similar to a jail in our world

there are people in jail

but there are a lot more people outside it

so when people outside commit mistakes.. they are dragged into material world as living beings

and when people learn thier mistakes and realise the potential of god.. and go in unison with him, they are released from jail

and in a jail there is differential treatment on how well u behave

and that differential treatment is the life of an animal, a poor human or a rich human etc..

Sri: i mean even if we work for some game and lose it .. we feel bad

Yogesh: life…is more life…to loose

Sri: so if all this earning, having material comforts etc.. is just a waste !! even this thought then is horrible

so .. i dunno its important to figure that out

the earlier the better
